SEN Provision

In Fairview we are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We recognise that children have a wide range of interests, skills and abilities. During their educational journey they may have additional and special educational needs, and we work proactively to meet these at every level. Our approach is firmly rooted in early identification, high-quality classroom practice and personalised support, ensuring that each child’s strengths, needs and interests are at the heart of all we do.

Strong partnerships are central to our success. We work collaboratively with parents and carers, valuing their knowledge and involvement at every stage of their child’s journey. We also engage closely with external agencies such as the Educational Psychology Service (EPS), Autism Advisory and Intervention Service (AAIS) and other relevant professionals to ensure coordinated, well-informed support. Our school provision map, alongside the graduated response framework, enables us to plan, deliver and review targeted interventions effectively. Where additional support is required, referrals are managed through the Request for Involvement Portal, ensuring timely and appropriate access to specialist guidance.

Our learning environment is enriched by a range of innovative resources designed to support wellbeing and learning for all pupils. These include a purpose-built sensory room and sensory garden, providing calm spaces to support regulation, engagement and emotional wellbeing. We also offer a broad range of booster and intervention groups across P1–P7, carefully matched to pupils’ needs to support progress in learning, communication, social skills and self-confidence. Through this inclusive, flexible approach, we strive to ensure every child feels supported, valued and ready to succeed.
