Primary 4

P4 were busy focussing on Data Handling during Maths Week. We discussed and created lots of different tables, diagrams and graphs. We read the story, 'Treasure in the Garden' and then took our learning outdoors. We hunted in groups for different 'treasure' in the Eco Garden. We were given different resources like chalk, whiteboards and sorting hoops. We had to choose a way to represent our findings using Data Handling and discuss it. We came up with some wonderful ideas!

Mrs Kelly came to P4 and brought lots of word problems relating to her work in the Hilton Hotel for us to solve. It was exciting to see how the skills we are learning now will help us in the future! Many thanks to Mrs Kelly for giving up her time! We really enjoyed the session!

P4 have been having great fun as scientists for our topic, 'George's Marvellous Medicine'. We have been using lots of science skills by creating different mixtures, predicting what will happen and observing closely. We made our own marvellous medicines in the Eco Garden.

We've been outside enjoying the lovely Autumn sunshine. We were busy brushing up, weeding and planting bulbs during our 'Blitz Day'.

We carried out a minibeast hunt in the Eco garden. We completed a tick chart in groups and then created a pictogram as a whole class.

P4 started off the year talking and writing about our summer holidays. We took part in a 'Show and Tell' and wrote postcards to Mrs Matthews.

We took part in a debate during Active Travel Week and discussed in groups the statement, 'Bikes are better than scooters.'
