P6 Residential to YMCA

Just before Easter, our P6 year group went on their annual residential to Greenhill YMCA in Newcastle, Co. Down. All 74 pupils and 8 staff had a ball! They took part in various exciting activities, visited an ice cream shop, had fun with their friends and made new ones, learnt how to make a bed and climbed a mountain at night! It was non stop excitement for the three days. Have a look at our twitter feed for pictures or visit our website for a video encapsulating some highlights (thanks to Stephen Matthews for his expertise!) and a report of our adventures.

Have a look at some of the pupils’ thoughts.....

My favourite thing was the zip wire because I overcame my fears. Isaac McIlnea P6CP

My favourite thing was the rock climbing because it challenged me and was really fun.              Moleena McGladdery P6CP

My favourite thing was canoeing because I loved the water and the Leaders kept me safe.          Arianna Smith P6DH

My best memory was the whole trip…it made me smile as best as I can! Ella Beattie P6CP

My best memory was making achievements – I never thought I would make it all the way up the climbing wall or do the abseil – everything on this trip is an achievement. Rebecca Green P6CP
