P6/7 Rugby Tournament at Kingspan

On Tuesday 7th May, the P6 and P7 boys had the fantastic opportunity to attend Kingspan Stadium,

home of Ulster Rugby. The boys were treated to a tour of the stadium, getting behind the scenes

access to the changing rooms, medical rooms and the gymnasium, where a few famous faces were

spotted. The tour guide gave an insight into the use of technology within the stadium and being a

former science teacher, he provided details as to how the coaches track each individual’s

performance.

On completion of the tour, our boys had the privilege of playing 3 matches on Ulster’s pitch. The

first game was against Strandtown Primary School and in an epic battle against great talent and

heavy downpour, we lost 4-3. Fairview boys picked themselves up from their narrow defeat and went

on to beat Omagh County Primary School and Poyntzpass Primary School, displaying fantastic

tackling, passing and try scoring abilities and exhibiting great unity as a team. It was a super day and

each of the boys should be very proud of themselves.
