Netball Tournament

On Monday the netball squad travelled to King’s Park Primary school for our first netball tournament of the season. We were delighted by the girls’ team play and sportsmanship on the day. We faced some tough opposition but were so pleased that we came 2nd overall, just missing out on joint first by one goal. The scores were as follows: Fairview V King’s Park 5-1, Fairview v Whitehouse 5-0, Fairview v Whiteabbey 3-4. Our team went into the 3rd match feeling a little fatigued as we had played three matches in a row. Whiteabbey put on a really strong performance and by half time they were leading 3-0. We had a really good half time talk and although the girls were tired they came out fighting and brought the score back to 4 3 to Whiteabbey. Fairview were in possession of the ball when the whistle blew during our final match and sadly were unable to make up the goal difference. We were proud of the whole team’s achievements but our player of the tournament went to Becca Garner for her outstanding, accurate shooting. Well done girls, we look forward to the next tournament in March.
