Primary 4

We really enjoyed our trip to hunt for minibeasts at... Ballyclare Cemetery! The initiative was run by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and we had the chance to find lots of minibeasts in their habitat as well as find out facts about them from an expert.

We did a freeze frame for the story Pedro the Brave.

Here are some of our finished designs!

P4 have been busy designing, creating and evaluating a windproof, waterproof house in groups for our STEM project.

A triangular shape will be stronger.

Using waterproof materials.

We created spiders using clay, googly eyes and pipe cleaners and then made a habitat for them during ABL.

We estimated and explored how many it would take to make one kilogram using different objects around our classroom. We also made hundreds, tens and units numbers practically using Dienes.

P4 enjoyed getting outside during our Outdoor Learning Day. We carried out a minibeast hunt and worked in groups to make tally charts of the minibeasts we found.
